Aristotle Capital Management Hires Exec Team Member

Aristotle Capital Management, an investment manager, has hired Dennis Sugino as managing director and part of its executive team.

Before joining Aristotle, Sugino was a co-founder and president of Cliffwater, an investment firm specializing in alternative assets for institutional clients. He held this role from 2004 to 2012. Prior to that, and since 1992, he was managing director and principal of Wilshire Associates.

He will provide recommendations across Aristotle’s business, including identifying new investment strategies and distribution channels for the firm. However, the firm confirmed to Family Wealth Report that it is sticking with its core long-only value approach, and that Sugino has been a long-time friend of Richard Hollander, chairman of the board, and was brought in for his broad qualities as opposed to his direct experience in alternatives.
